ISD Experience Highlights

Certification courses

• Designed and developed multiple week career track certification courses for the federal government. These courses included a mix of lecture, facilitation, group exercises, demonstration and role play exercises, case study lessons, and written exercises with feedback. For these courses, I also developed rubrics for the exercises, guidance for mentors and adjunct instructors, instructor guides for the primary instructors, and lesson plans for each lesson. I helped ensure the evaluation criteria was clear and defensible in case there was an issue about a student not certifying.
• Designed and developed job aids for participants to take back to their desks or to access online.
• Populated internal websites with job aids, links, case studies, and other resources.

Documentation

• Created documentation to support course design, such as: course  (terminal) objectives, modularized topic outline, agenda, course design document, evaluation criteria, etc.
• Created documentation to support course development, such as: lesson  (enabling) objectives, lesson plans, instructor guides, jobs aids, worksheets, rubrics, evaluation instruments and protocols, new course announcements, etc.

Learning Management Systems 

• Developed online and blended learning courses using LMS (Learning Management Systems) such as Moodle, Blackboard, and Google Classroom. Populated class materials, constructed exercises, quizzes, and discussion groups. Moderated discussions and groups work.
• Created feedback and survey materials using survey management software, including Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, and Google Forms.

E-Learning

• Provided content editing for e-learning courses.
• Developed content and layout for website creation. 
• Created content, storyboards, and scripts for e-learning activities and videos.
• Evaluated e-learning products against an organizational standard rubric and made recommendations for improvement. 

Evaluation

• Conducted needs assessments and course evaluations (Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Evaluation levels 1, 2, and 3). 
• Developed interview protocol and gathered information via online surveys and face to face interviews.
• Provided both training and non-training recommendations after a needs assessment or survey. For example, if the performance problem was not one that could be solved by training but could be resolved by changing a business process.

Facilitation and Graphic Recording

• 
  Facilitated group and branch level strategic planning.
• Graphic facilitation and strategic visioning for groups of less than 30.
• Established purpose and direction for multiple programs.
• Graphic recorded for classes, meetings, and events.
• Live digital graphic recording for virtual collaborative sessions.
• Digital graphic recording for in-person presentations. 

Miscellaneous ISD Tasks

• Participated in multiple software pilots to evaluate course management and survey management software applications. 
• Organized quarterly ISD community of practice events.
